Final Lino Prints

  • Im pleased with how they have printed, I wanted them to bold and graphic. I had trouble printing the tiger goat at first because I used a massive roller and the small grooves on his horns kept filling up with ink. I found using a smaller roller applied a thiner coat and printed the small details a lot cleaner.
  • They work fairly well as a set, I think the top 2 work really well with each other. The insect stands out a lot from the set - it looks a lot more detailed and has more complex shapes.
  • I really enjoyed using lino to produce some more characters, I have enjoyed working with the full figure rather than just the faces.
  • It was fun working with the insect and the sharktopus, they arnt the usual shapes I work around so it has been fun to see how I can apply my character designs and lino cutting process to them. I wouldn't say they are my favourite designs out of the set but they have been the most interesting and challenging to create and the most intriguing to see how they would translate to print.
  • My favourite design is the bat - eagle, i like the symmetry and the face - I like how the bat face has translated into the graphic shapes.
