Sound Analysis - Study Task 6

  • I like how the musics sets a sort of humorous robotic vibe that kind of contrasts against whats happening in the video.
  • The sound effects on the blender give it much more impact.
  • The characters movements are in sync with the sound.
  • The way the sound simply cuts out when he falls to the floor makes it seem more realistic, almost like the sound was part of his characteristics and when he died so did the sound.

  • I really like this animation, its interesting to see how the sound relates too the aesthetic and the glitchy movements.
  • Its all based around basic movement but relies on the interesting grainy printed textures and the glitchy distorted sound effects, to create a powerful surreal and abnormal atmosphere.
  • They use sound effects relevant to the actions and subtle movement, and it makes them seem much more intense and real.
  • The sounds work in time with the actions to create the effect.
  • The sounds work so well because it creating the same weird un-easy atmosphere in your ears, as the imagery is creating for your eyes.
  • This animation in particular has made me realise how useful sound can be to boost the atmosphere of a design/concept. And help to give the effect to the audience, because your influencing your hearing as well as sight.
