- I put my prints up on the wall too figure out what sets I would use as my finals.
- After all the colour variations I like the green best for the set, I just feel it works equally as well in each print.
- I prefer others colours in some prints, but only as single standing prints, the green works consistently across all of them as a set.
- Because ive been trying to make the faces work as a consistent series I thought its only right to apply it that consistency too the colour as well.
- Another colour way that works well is black with alternating colours. I think this works well and gives a nice vibrancy across the prints. And works as a changing sequential series.
- Id always imagined displaying the prints in a line, but they also work really well in the arrangement, with all the faces looking outwards, away from the centre face.
Scanned prints...
- Theres is two options for the first lino (full brain or circle brain).
- I will submit two variations of the final set, the full green set and this coloured set.
- This is another variation for a coloured set, the colours reflect on either side. I think this is interesting and it gives a nice balance. You could also put a purple or blue print in the middle and it would work the same.
- I think I prefer the above set to this though.
- There is a lot of potential variations you could make to the set that would still work well, and if these prints where being sold as products people could just choose the colour ways that they liked best.
- There is also nice sets that can be made out of less prints. With all the different colour variations you could mix and match them in loads of different ways.
For example this set with the green that ties them together...
Packaging Prints...
I packaged up a selection of my prints on mount board with cellophane stuck round them. I thought I could try and sell some and give some for christmas presents. They feel much nicer and more like product when they are packaged up and signed. It protects the print and makes them more sellable.
